(Windom)- A crash in Cottonwood County yesterday sent a Windom resident to the hospital. The Minnesota State Patrol responded to the crash at 2:02 pm yesterday when a 2017 Ford Edge, driven by Jean Laverne Hoppe, age 76 of Windom, was traveling in the median and turning left for eastbound Highway 60 around Windom. A 2021 Peterbilt Semi, driven by Daniel Sevareid, age 50 of Wanamingo, was traveling eastbound on highway 60 and the two vehicles collided.

No injuries were reported to Sevareid, but Hoppe received non-life threatening injuries and was taken to the Windom Hospital. The Windom Police Department, Cottonwood County Sheriff's Office, Windom Fire and Ambulance services all assisted at the scene.
