Arrest Made In New Year's Eve Stabbing in Windom

(Windom)– A California man has been arrested in a stabbing New Year’s Eve in Windom.
Windom Police Chief Scott Peterson says officers were called around 11:47 PM to the Phat Pheasant Pub. Upon arriving they found two men, ages 30 and 31 both from Windom, had been stabbed with a knife. Aid was rendered on the scene by police and first responders. Peterson says the 30-year-old was taken to a hospital where he died.
Peterson says with the help of witnesses, officers were able to locate the 26-year-old suspect who’s from San Diego, California, who was treated for minor injuries before being taken into custody. The Cottonwood County Jail roster indicates a man was arrested early this morning on charges of Disorderly Conduct – Brawling or Fighting, Terroristic Threats-Reckless Disregard Risk, Assault-2nd Degree-Dangerous Weapon-Substantial Bodily Harm, and Murder -1st Degree – Premeditated. The man’s name is not listed on the record, however.
Peterson says the investigation continues and more information will be released later.
