Windom, Fairmont Hockey Teams Split Tuesday Night Games

The Windom hockey teams split a doubleheader in Worthington on Tuesday night.
The girls took a 3-0 loss. The Trojans broke through for a pair of goals in the second period and added one more during the third in their shutout of the Eagles.
The boys grabbed a 6-4 win. The Eagles jumped out to a 4-1 lead in the first period, the Trojans took a 2-1 advantage in the second to make it 5-3 Eagles, and each team scored once in the third for the final score.
Both teams play New Ulm on Thursday with the 1-0 boys at home and the 2-6 girls on the road.
The Fairmont boys hockey team took down Faribault 5-4 on the road.
The 1-0 Cardinals visit Luverne next Tuesday.
The Fairmont girls hockey team lost to Marshall 7-1 at home.
The Tigers outscored the Cardinals 2-1 in the first period, added a trio of goals in the second period, and another pair in the third period.
The 3-2-1 Fairmont girls visit South Central on Thursday.
