Vikes to close out season vs. Lions

Sat 1-2-2021

DETROIT - The Minnesota Vikings close out their season Sunday at Detroit. You can hear the game on Xtreme Country 105.7, with the pregame at 11 a.m. and kickoff at noon.

Both teams are out of playoff contention. Minnesota has a 6-9 record, while Detroit is 5-10.

The Vikings will be without running back Dalvin Cook, cornerback Cameron Dantzler, defensive end Jalyn Holmes, cornerback Chris Jones, linebacker Eric Kendricks and defensive end Ifeadi Odenigbo.

Left tackle Riley Reiff is questionable after being placed on the Reserve/COVID-19 list this week. Kicker Dan Bailey is questionable with a back injury.

For the Lions, quarterback Matthew Stafford is questionable. He's been dealing with ankle, thumb and rib injuries and didn't play much in last weekend's loss to Tampa Bay.

Interim coach Darrell Bevell said Chase Daniel would start if Stafford can't play.

Also, Detroit has ruled out offensive lineman Tyrell Crosby, guard Joe Dahl and wide receiver Kenny Golladay.
