The Martin County West boys basketball team lost to St James Area 72-63 on Monday night. 

Jacob Wilmes led the Mavericks with a double-double of 18 points and 15 rebounds plus seven assists. Kale Larson added 16 points and Lucas Larson scored 13 points. 

The 3-8 Mavs host Cleveland on Friday.
