The Martin County West baseball team snapped a five-game losing streak in run-rule fashion at home against Sleepy Eye St Mary’s on Tuesday. 

The Mavericks sent the Knights home early 10-0 in six innings. 

MCW scored two runs in the first inning, added three more in the third, four more in the fourth, and walked it off with another one in the bottom of the sixth. 

Cam Meyer had a pair of hits for the Mavericks. Maddex Faber, Brennan Ringnell, and Jacob Wilmes each batted in two runs. Meyer, Faber, Preston Cepress, and Michael McCorkell each scored twice. 

Lucas Larson earned the win for MCW by scattering four hits in the six-inning shutout while striking out four and walking none.

The 3-7 Mavericks visit Nicollet on Thursday.
