Cleveland overcame five errors to beat the Martin County West baseball team 12-1 in five innings on Tuesday. 

The Clippers started the scoring in the first inning. MCW tied the game 1-1 in the second when Brennan Ringnell came home on a Preston Cepress RBI single. 

Cleveland added three more runs in the home half of the third and eight more in the fourth before clinching the run-rule victory. 

Noah Meixell took the loss after allowing four runs with one of them earned on three hits plus five strikeouts and four walks in the two and two-thirds innings. 

The 1-1 Mavericks visit Heron Lake-Okabena/Fulda on Friday.
