Jackson Bulls Split Weekend of Close Road Games

The Jackson Bulls split a pair of baseball games on the road over the weekend.
The Bulls beat the St James A’s 5-4 in eight innings on Saturday.
Carter Snyder doubled to right field to score Easton Bahr and then Evan Oleson grounded out to score Seth Busch for the 2-0 Bulls lead in the top of the first. The A’s cut the lead in half in the second. Oleson and Busch scored on a pair of St James errors in the sixth for a 4-1 Bulls lead. St James scored three runs in the seventh to tie the game. Haiden Warmka scored on a Talan Holm groundout to make it 5-4 and put Jackson in the lead for good in the top of the eighth.
Landon Vaske climbed the hill first for Jackson and gave up one run on two hits in four innings while striking out two and walking one.
The Bulls lost 2-1 to the Windom Pirates on Sunday.
Windom built the 2-0 lead in the bottom of the third inning. Cael Miller batted in the only Jackson run during the top of the seventh. Evan Oleson finished with a pair of hits for the Bulls.
Alex Bretzman took the loss for Jackson after surrendering two runs with one of them earned on seven hits while striking out six and walking three in seven innings.
The 7-6 Bulls visit the Worthington Cubs for a non-league game on Thursday night.
