Huskies Roll Past Eagles in State Semifinal

Fri 11-14-2025

The unbeaten repeat dream is still very much alive for the Jackson County Central football team after blanking Eden Valley-Watkins in the Class AA Semifinal on Friday at US Bank Stadium.

POSTGAME SHOW

The Huskies shut the Eagles out 38-0 to earn their second straight Prep Bowl appearance and sixth in school history.

RAW PRESS CONFERENCE

Weston Rowe recovered a fumble on the first Eagles snap. Roman Voss cashed in the turnover with a 13-yard rushing touchdown to make it 6-0 JCC.

Voss ran it in from six yards away on 4th-and-goal after a Ben Gallagher punt return set the Huskies up deep in Eagles territory. JCC led 12-0 after the first quarter. Gallagher finished 62 all-purpose yards after adding 22 on three catches.

Voss scored his third rushing TD from 41 yards out on the first play of the second quarter. Tate Phillips added the two-point conversion to make it 20-0 JCC.

Voss made an interception on the next Eagles drive. He delivered a pass to Gage Johnson who did the rest for the 44-yard passing TD to make it 26-0 JCC. Johnson led JCC with 52 yards on two receptions and that TD. He also rushed for 72 yards on 13 attempts. That gave him a game-high 124 all-purpose yards.

Voss had a three-yard plunge on the next Huskies drive to make it 32-0 JCC. Voss finished with 107 yards on 15 carries and four TDs.

Voss found Evan Bartholomaus for the 18-yard pass TD and the missed extra point kept it 38-0 JCC. Voss went 14-for-21 through the air with 163 yards and a pair of TDs.

That later became the final score after neither team scored in the second half. Eden Valley-Watkins had a late TD pass overturned by an official review.
