Huskies Get #7 Seed in Return to State Tournament

The Jackson County Central softball team is the seventh seed in the Class AA State Tournament.
The Huskies will begin the bracket against the #2 seed St Agnes.
JCC has a 22-4 overall record after winning the Section 3AA championship and moved up three spots to the #6 ranking in the latest Class AA coaches poll.
The Aggies are the Section 4AA winners with a 22-2 overall record and are ranked #2 in the latest poll.
Our coverage begins at around 2:40 p.m. on Tuesday with the first pitch at 3:00 p.m. inside Caswell Park in North Mankato.
The winner of the JCC game will play either #3 seed and 8AA champion Hawley or #6 seed and 2AA champ Lake Crystal-Wellcome Memorial.
The top seed in the bracket is defending State champion and 1AA title winner Randolph, with the #8 seed and 7AA champion Esko as their opponent.
The winner of that game gets either #4 seed and 6AA champion St. Cloud Cathedral or #5 seed and 5AA champion Spectrum.
The semifinal games will happen at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday and the championship game is Friday at 4:00 p.m.
The consolation bracket will get underway at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday. The consolation winner will be decided starting at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday and the Third Place game is at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday.
All games will be played at Caswell Park in North Mankato until the title game which takes place inside Jane Sage Cowles Stadium at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis.
