The Jackson County Central boys basketball team finished sixth place at the Class AA State Tournament.

The Huskies lost to Pequot Lakes 51-44 in the consolation championship on Friday afternoon at Concordia University. JCC led most of the first half before the Patriots took the lead 26-24 at halftime. The back-and-forth defensive struggle was tied with less than four minutes left but the Patriots scored the final seven points for the win. 

JCC finished the season with a record of 22-9.

Congratulations to Hudson Austin, Noah Thompson, Jack Sadusky, and Kasey Grimmius on their Huskies basketball careers. 

JCC advanced past the Pelican Rapids Vikings 74-65 in the consolation semifinals at Concordia on Thursday night. They led the defending champions at halftime on Wednesday before Albany came storming back to win 87-66 in the championship quarterfinals.
