The Rockets took the 2-0 lead in the bottom of the second inning and added one more in the fourth.

Hadley Wachal started the game and tossed three strikeouts during the first inning and two-thirds for JCC. The Rockets scored two earned runs on one hit which was the only hit surrendered by Hadley Wachal in the State Tournament. Randolph also earned a pair of walks and had a pair of batters get hit by a pitch during the home half of the second.

Kelcie Sillman took over in relief for the last four and one-third with one earned run on one hit plus six strikeouts and three walks.

The Huskies finally spoiled the shutout in the top of the seventh when Kinley VanDeVere smacked an RBI double to score Lauren Johnson.

Johnson also finished as the only Huskies player with multiple hits in the final JCC softball game for her and fellow senior Kayleigh Nosbusch.

Cora Pauling is on the all-tournament team after going 5-for-12 with a pair of runs scored during the State bracket.

Coach Christopher is the Section 3AA Coach of the Year after leading JCC to the State Tournament for the first time in 20 years.

The Huskies finished the season with a 23-6 overall record.
