Jackson County Central cross country placed four runners on the all-Big South Conference team for the small-school division at the conference meet Tuesday in Marshall.

Cora Pauling, Elese Paplow and Naiya Ayers earned honorable-mention honors for the JCC girls and EJ Peterson earned it for the boys.

The JCC girls finished third and the boys got fifth in the team standings. 

Pauling finished 10th in the girls’ race with a time of 20 minutes, 56 seconds with Paplow in 13th and Ayers in 14th.

Peterson finished 12th in the boys’ race with a personal-record time of 17 minutes, 37 seconds. 

The top seven at the conference meet are all-conference selections with honorable-mention going to the eighth through 14th-place finishers. 

Redwood Valley won the girls and boys small-school meets with Marshall taking both big-school meets.
