Cross country teams compete in BSC meet

REDWOOD FALLS - Jackson County Central competed in the Small School Division of the Big South Conference cross country meet Saturday.

In the boys meet, the Huskies finished sixth in the team standings. St. James Area won the team title with 39 points. Host Redwood Valley was second with 71 points.

Evan Paplow led JCC with an eighth-place finish out of 55 runners in a time of 17:33.

Jackson County Central did not have a complete girls team. Luverne was first with 21 points, with Windom second with 57 points.

Olivia Anderson led JCC as she placed 11th in a field of 46 runners with a time of 21:05.

The Huskies will compete in the Section 3A meet at Luverne Thursday.
