Jackson County Central senior Carson Kolander is on the Class AA Academic All-State Team. 

The Minnesota Football Coaches Association listed the Huskies center and linebacker among 15 student-athletes. 

All-State selections are required to be a senior starting varsity letterman for the current season. They must have outstanding football and leadership ability, plus academic excellence. This includes a 3.0 grade-point average on a 4.0 scale in an academic core curriculum during his sophomore and junior year as well as the first quarter of his senior year.
