Bluejays fall to Raiders in MCAC semis

WORTHINGTON - Central Lakes defeated Minnesota West 35-6 in the semifinals of the Minnesota College Athletic Conference football playoffs Sunday at Trojan Field.
Andrew Ortiz (Albuquerque) scored the Bluejays touchdown on a 10-yard run in the fourth quarter.
Ortiz was 17-for-41 passing for 251 yards. Dalton Wagner (Lakefield) was the leading rusher with 20 yards on seven carries.
Terryon Bumpus (Racine, Wis.) caught four passes for 59 yards and Tyler Linder (Worthington) caught four balls for 57 yards.
The Raiders had 159 yards rushing and 164 passing for 323 yards. The Bluejays had 226 yards, -25 on the ground and 251 in the air.
Minnesota West finishes with a 6-4 record.
Central Lakes (5-5) plays Itasca (8-2) in the championship game at 1:30 p.m. next Sunday at St. Cloud State.
