Tue 12-2-2025

A dozen Jackson County Central football players received postseason recognition from the Mid-South Brown District.

Roman Voss, Weston Rowe, Gage Johnson, Ben Gallagher, Michael Reipke, and Kade Freking-Leu are on the All-District team.

Voss led the Huskies in passing and rushing with 51 total touchdowns as a senior quarterback, made a pair of interceptions at defensive back, and contributed on the defensive line and in the kicking game.

Rowe helped pave the way as a senior leader on the offensive line and his defensive line season featured a pair of key fumble recoveries.

Gallagher led the Huskies in receptions and receiving yards as a senior, picked off a pair of passes at cornerback, and scored six all-purpose TDs.

Johnson led a deep stable of running backs as a junior with team-highs at the position for attempts and yards plus 19 all-purpose TDs. He also made major contributions at linebacker.

Freking-Leu led the Huskies pass rush as a senior and added tight end blocking for the offense late in the season.

Reipke helped dominate in the trenches all year long on both sides of the ball including a pair of fumble recoveries.

Honorable Mentions went to Carson Kolander, Tate Phillips, Evan Bartholomaus, Brody Anderson, Isaac Hesebeck, and Mason Foster.

Kolander stayed strong in the middle at center on offense and at linebacker on defense when needed. The senior battled through an ankle injury in the Prep Bowl to help JCC survive for the state title.

Phillips supplied explosive plays at linebacker and running back including nine total TDs despite missing part of his junior year.

Bartholomaus led the team in receiving TDs at tight end and had an interception as a senior leader at safety despite missing time.

Anderson played well at cornerback to go with scoring a TD on the ground, through the air, and in the return game during an impressive freshman season despite missing time.

Hesebeck scored a pair of TDs at tight end, returned a kickoff to the house, and played a key part in the secondary when healthy.

Foster had a fumble recovery on the defensive line and was the starting right tackle for the highest-scoring offense in JCC history.

The top-ranked Huskies pulled off the unbeaten repeat as back-to-back Class AA champions this year.
