Three arrested following Estherville theft
(Estherville)-- Three people from Sioux City face theft charges following an incident earlier this month at a Bomgaars store in Estherville.
Estherville police say they received a report May 5th of two men and a woman who had left that store without paying for some merchandise, including two construction saws. Police were given a description of the vehicle the suspects left in, and an attempt to locate was issued.
A short time later, Estherville police were notified the Palo Alto County Sheriff's Office was investigating a suspicious vehicle report, and the vehicle matched the description of the one wanted in connection with the Estherville theft case. The three occupants in that vehicle were arrested by the Palo Alto County Sheriff's Office. 33-year-old Karissa Matheason, 48-year-old Barry Grause and 53-year-old Mark Lee, all of Sioux City, were charged with theft in the 2nd degree, possession of stolen property.
Authorities say several of the items that were stolen from the Estherville Bomgaars store was recovered as part of the investigation.
