Teen injured in Hwy 60 accident

A teenage driver was injured in a car-semi accident last (Friday) night near Mountain Lake.

The Minnesota State Patrol reports that just after 5pm, an unidentified 16 year-old was driving a 2006 Ford Fusion and turning right onto Highway 60, when she collided with the trailer of a semi driven by 29 year-old Walter Nelson of Louisville, GA which was westbound on Highway 60.

The teenage driver was taken to the Windom Hospital with non-life threatening injuires.  Nelson sustained no apparent injuries.

The Cottonwood County Sheriff’s Office, Mountain Lake Police Department and Mountain Lake Fire and Ambulance assisted at the scene.
