Spirit Lake Police say no danger to public in search for stabbing suspect
(Spirit Lake)-- Spirit Lake police issued a statement early this (Tues.) afternoon saying they have no reason to believe the general public is in any danger as the search continues for a suspect wanted in a stabbing incident late Monday night in Spirit Lake.
Police say 43-year-old Teangelo Grice fled the scene after allegedly stabbing a woman in the Kum 'n Go store in Spirit Lake. Authorities were called to the scene a little before 11:00 pm. They say the suspect had fled on foot upon their arrival.
The victim was taken by ambulance to Lakes Regional Healthcare. Police say she was in good condition as of early this afternoon.
In the statement, police say they believe the incident was not a random act of violence.
Grice is wanted on charges of attempted murder, domestic 3rd offense, violation of a no contact order, false imprisonment, burglary in the 1st degree and assault displaying a dangerous weapon.
He's described as a black male, 5'11" tall weighing 200 pounds with brown eyes.
Authorities say if you know the whereabouts of Grice that you should not approach him and contact your nearest law enforcement agency as quickly as possible.
