One person was injured in a two vehicle accident Friday afternoon on Highway 60 near Mountain Lake.

According to a Minnesota State Patrol report, shortly before 4pm, 44 year-old Kristin Palmer of Burnsville was driving a 2014 Nissan Rouge eastbound on Highway 60 and 32 year-old Kacey Hancock of Windom was driving a 2002 GMC Pickup southbound on County Road 8.

Hancock stopped for the stop sign, then continued southbound across highway 60 and was struck by Palmers Nissan.

Palmer was transported to a St. James hospital with non-life threatening injuries.  Hancock was not injured.

The Cottonwood County Sheriff’s Office, Mountain Lake Police, Fire and Ambulance all assisted at the scene.
