JCC Robotics team to compete at NDSU in Fargo
Jackson County Central is one of 31 teams from across the Midwest competing at the Northern Plains BEST Robotics competition this week at North Dakota State University in Fargo. JCC qualified by placing 2nd in the Jackrabbit BEST competition at South Dakota State University in October.
Teams design a robot that will compete against other robots completing a series of tasks. They must also design and run an exhibit booth, do a marketing presentation, complete an engineering notebook and are judged on spirit, teamwork and sportsmanship.
The competition theme changes each year. This year’s theme is Crossfire, which focuses on firefighting and rescue.
There are 6 regional competitions that are being held. The winners of each region will compete in the National Competition in the spring.
