Jackson Council, Mar 6
The Jackson City Council met in regular session last (Tuesday) night in the Council Chambers at City Hall. The meeting was called to order at 6:30pm with Councilman Ken Temple the only member absent.
Thomas Nelson with CEDA addressed the council regarding a new Opportunity Zone Program instituted by the Federal Government. He presented to the County Commission earlier in the day and they had agreed to move forward with the program. The Council voted to support the program as well.
In action items, the Council approved the resignation of Richard Seim as Commissioner of the Housing and Redevelopment Authority of Jackson and appointed Steve DeKok to fill the vacancy.
The meeting was adjourned at 6:56pm.
The next meeting of the Jackson City Council is scheduled for Tuesday, March 20th at 6:30pm in the Council Chambers at City Hall.
