Emmet County search ends with subject fine
(Wallingford)-- A missing person made for a few tense moments Sunday near Wallingford.
Emmet county authorities say it started around 6:00 am when a sheriff's deputy located an abandoned vehicle in the area of a 4538 230th Street near Ingham Lake. The Estherville Police Department K-9 unit was called to the scene to conduct a search for the missing driver. The Estherville and Gruver Fire Departments, Arnolds Park/Okoboji Underwater Search and Rescue were also called to the scene. Extensive searches of the surrounding area turned up nothing.
Around 1:00 pm crews were notified by the Emmet County Sheriff's Office the subject had been found and was okay and the search was discontinued.
