Dickinson County releases information on arrests
(Spirit Lake)-- The Dickinson County Sheriff's Office has released details into several arrests made last month in unrelated cases.
The first one dates back to December 15th when deputies responded to a report of a vehicle in the ditch at 175th Street and 240th Avenue. An investigation resulted in the driver, 18-year-old Noah Henrickson of Spirit Lake, being arrested and charged with operating while intoxicated...1st offense, failure to obey a stop sign, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
A traffic stop for speeding December 22nd resulted in the arrest of 31-year-old Charles Williams of Estherville. Upon speaking with Williams, a deputy could smell marijuana coming from the vehicle and actually found some in it. Williams was charged with speeding and possession of a controlled substance.
And on December 29th, the Dickinson County Sheriff's Office says it investigated a report of a person standing in the middle of the road flagging people down a few miles north of Terril. A deputy found the suspect, 22-year-old Trey Trompeter of Estherville, near the intersection of 310th Avenue and 200th Street. Authorities say Trompeter had put his vehicle in a nearby ditch. The deputy reported smelling an odor of alcohol coming from the suspect, who was arrested and booked into the Dickinson county jail on charges of operating while intoxicated...1st offense, failure to maintain control, possession of a controlled substance...marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of contraband in a jail facility.
