Lakers drop dual to Reviers

COUNCIL BLUFFS – Each team won five matches, but Iowa Western piled up more bonus points in winning a dual over Iowa Lakes 20-16 Wednesday night.
Isaiah Cox won a major decision at 184 pounds for the Lakers.
Winning decisions were Jordin James (133), Anthony Fisher (141), Anthony Maia (157) and Bunmi Smith (174).
The Reviers got a pin in overtime at heavyweight to win the dual.
ILCC returns to action Jan. 4-5 at the National Wrestling Coaches Association National Duals in Fort Wayne, Ind.
Lakers fourth in team ratings
Iowa Lakes moved up three places to fourth in this week's ratings by the National Junior College Athletic Association.
Teams ranked ahead of the Lakers are Clackamas (Ore.), Northeastern Oklahoma A&M and Region XI rival Ellsworth.
Six ILCC wrestlers are ranked, led by a top-ranked wrestler in Isaiah Cox (Ottumwa) at 184.
Anthony Maia (Palm Coast, Fla.) is fourth at 157, Anthony Fisher (Hartly, Del.) fifth at 141, Bunmi Smith (Woodbine, Georgia) fifth at 165, David Hollingsworth III (Baltimore) seventh at 149 and Hasan Krigger (Loganville, Georgia) eighth at 125.
