Huskies split doubleheader with Eskomos

JACKSON – Jackson County Central closed out its regular-season softball schedule Friday by splitting a nonconference doubleheader with Esko. The Huskies won the second game 17-15 after the Eskomos had won the opener 4-3.
JCC heads into postseason play with an 8-10 record. Esko is 17-2.
Jordann Schneekloth had three of Jackson County Central’s four hits in the first game. Jacey Edlin had the other.
Blaney Johnson took the pitching loss, allowing four runs (three earned) on six hits, walking five and striking out eight.
Ally Ringeisen had five hits, two RBIS and scored two runs in the nightcap for JCC.
Edlin had three hits including two home runs to give her seven for the season. That ties her for the school record with Marita Rasche and Mo Carlson. She had four RBIs.
Jayni Anderson and Bailey Berkner had three hits apiece.
Jordan Rogotzke had two hits including a double and three RBIs. Schneekloth, Johnson and Keylee Rossow had two hits apiece. Myesha Chantorath had one hit.
The Huskies play Luverne at 4 p.m. Tuesday at Pipestone in the first round of the Section 3AA tournament.
