Huskies drop finale to Arrows

JACKSON - Pipestone was a 35-18 winner over Jackson County Central in South Central White District football Wednesday night at Swearingen Field.
The Huskies committed four turnovers, including two in the Red Zone and two that resulted in defensive touchdowns for the Arrows.
JCC had 383 yards offense (267 rushing and 116 passing), while holding Pipestone to 239 yards (85 on the ground and 154 in the air).
Jacob Tvinnereim rushed for 148 yards on 18 carries including a 46-yard touchdown, while Damien VanWestern carried the ball 17 times for 79 yards.
The other TDs for the Huskies were scored by Zach Neal from one yard out and Rudy Voss on a 22-yard run.
Pipestone had two defensive touchdowns, both by Matt Enger, one on an 86-yard fumble return and the other on a 28-yard interception return.
Cody Thompson scored on a one-yard run.
The Arrows also had two passing touchdowns, one a 49-yard pass from Tyl Woelber to Garret Ploeger and the other 15 yards from Thompson to Braeden Rieck.
The Arrows are 7-1, while the Huskies are 6-2.
Jackson County Central will host St. Peter in the Section 3AAA playoffs at 7 p.m. Tuesday.
