Dover, O'Banion, Kouba win features
JACKSON – Jack Dover, Brant O'Banion and Jake Kouba were feature winners on the second night of racing for the season at Jackson Motorplex Friday night.
Dover took the lead midway through the 25-lap Midwest Power Series/Midwest Sprint Touring Series A feature and went on to the win.
Filling out the top five were Trey Starks, Carson McCarl, Matt Juhl and Dusty Zomer.
Derrik Lusk won the B Feature. Heat winners were Juhl, Eric Lutz, Zomer and Chase Viebrock.
Brant O'Banion started eighth and won the 20-lap RaceSaver sprint car event.
Brandon Bosma was second, followed by Colin Smith, Bill Johnson and Jody Rosenboom. Heat winners were Kaleb Johnson and Clayton Christensen.
Kouba claimed the top spot in the 15-lap NSL non-wing sprint car class, with Alex Schriever second, Brandon Halverson third, Johnny Parsons III fourth and Clinton Bruns fifth.
Halverson and Kouba were heat winners. Halverson was the fastest qualifier.
Next week, Jackson Motorplex will host its first non-sprint car event of the year with the Tri-State Late Models, IMCA hobby stocks and IMCA sport mods on the program.
